Belgian airline plans to launch cargo flights to Ashgabat

On July 31, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium Sapar Palvanov held a meeting via video link with the leadership of the Belgian cargo airline Challenge Airlines, based in Liege, according to the page on the social network of the embassy. The company specializes in air cargo transportation in Europe, America, the Middle East and Africa.

The meeting was also joined by representatives of the "Turkmenhowayollary" service. During the video conference, logistics issues were discussed, including flight launch procedures and other aspects of cooperation between Challenge Airlines and Turkmen civil aviation.

Then representatives of Challenge Airlines presented the company's activities. The plans of the airline include the implementation of cargo flights through Ashgabat on the routes Ningbo (China) - Ashgabat and Ashgabat - Liege (Belgium)

The company has more than 1 000 employees worldwide and specializes in air transportation, cargo handling, support services and maintenance. Their business model spans the entire supply chain. A significant part of their work (65%) is related to the transportation of non-standard cargo, such as temperature-controlled goods, automotive products, aerospace products.
