On 12 September the second stage of “Amul-Khazar” car rally was launched. The length of this circuit is 228 kilometers and 55 out of 75 vehicles competed in the lap, the state information agency TDH reports.
The British pilot Harry Hunt and his navigator Wouter Rosegaar won the second stage of the car rally.
The Spanish team ranked 2nd whereas Turkmen car racers Hojaguly Annamammedov and Gaigysyz Akmyradov finished third.
In the trucks category two top places were occupied by Russian crews whereas the Belarus team were the third to cross the finish line.
Let us recall that on the previous day the first stage of the car rally was held where the vehicle with the number 100 driven by President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov won in the qualification race.
The footage of Turkmen television showed the President getting into the vehicle and starting the race.On the car rally website, however, Gaygysyz Akmyradov and Hojaguly Annamammedov were indicated as pilots of this vehicle.
