Azerbaijan Translation Center shows interest in the works of classics of Turkmen literature

A high-quality translation of literary work a prose or a poetry is a painstaking labour of a translator. When reading a story, poem or any other type of literary work translated from a foreign language, we perceive the text itself with its meaning, emotions and characters.

It is quite a challenging task to preserve the author’s semantic and emotional message for readers as close as possible. The specialists of the Azerbaijan State Translation Centre (AzSTC) , who are engaged in the regulation of language sphere and translation services, are also convinced of this.

Founded in 2012, the Translation Center is engaged in promoting Azerbaijani literature worldwide at the international level and world literature in the country through translations into Azerbaijani. The Center has a magazine of world literature “Khazar” (a quarterly printed organ), where world literature works translated into Azerbaijani are published.

Expressing interest in publishing the works of the classics of Turkmen literature in the “Khazar” magazine, the editorial staff of the publication proposes to send the creative heritage of the great Turkmen authors to the Translation Center for translation into the Azerbaijani.
