Director James Cameron said that filming of the third Avatar film has been completed, but there are still two years before the film is released, writes film.ru.
"We've got two grueling years of post-production ahead of us, so we'll be out at Christmas 2025," the director said at a conference in New Zealand.
Cameron previously announced that the threequel would introduce a new tribe living on the planet Pandora - the warlike People of Ash. The fourth and fifth Avatars are planned for 2029 and 2031.
The first Avatar film was released in 2009 and became the highest-grossing film in history (2.923 billion USD). A sequel, The Way of Water, followed in 2022 and earned 2.32 billion USD.
