At Euro 2024 football in Germany, the first matches of the 1/8 finals have ended

On Sunday, Spain beat the Georgian team with a score of 4:1. The winners' goals were scored by Rodri (39th minute), Fabian Ruiz (51), Nico Williams (75) and Dani Olmo (83). In the 18th minute, Spanish defender Robin Le Norman sent the ball into his own goal.

In another match, England snatched victory from Slovakia - 2:1. Jude Bellingham (90+5) and Harry Kane (91) scored for the English. Ivan Shrants (25) scored for the Slovaks. Bellingham sent the ball into the goal with a spectacular overhead kick.

A day earlier, the German team beat Denmark 2:0. Kai Havertz (53rd minute, penalty) and Jamal Musiala (68) scored. The match was interrupted in the first half due to heavy rain, hail and thunderstorms in Dortmund. Play resumed almost 25 minutes later.

Switzerland unexpectedly knocked Italy out of the tournament with a 2-0 victory. Remo Freuler (37th minute) and Ruben Vargas (46th minute) scored goals.

Italy became the third reigning European champion to fail to make it past the 1/8 finals. This has previously happened to Spain in 2016 and Portugal in 2020.

In the quarter-finals, England will play Switzerland on 6 July and Spain will face Germany on 5 July.
