The International Basketball Federation announced that Indonesia will host the Asian Basketball Championship in 2021, the second time in its history.
We are very proud that next year we will host the Asian Basketball Cup in Jakarta. This is a great opportunity for Indonesia to showcase its basketball potential, said Indonesian Basketball Federation President Danny Kosasih.
In turn, FIBA Asia President Sheikh Saud bin Ali Al-Thani noted that the holding of the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 and the joint organization of the FIBA World Basketball Championship in 2023 is a huge step forward in development of basketball in the country.
The FIBA Asia Cup 2021 teams will be divided into four groups, each having four teams.
