Ashgabat volunteers of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan conducted road safety lessons in schools in September

Volunteers of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan (NRCST) were actively involved in the month-long campaign under the motto “Road Safety - Peace of Our Life”, covering 2696 children of grades 1-3 of comprehensive schools in the capital. This was reported to “Turkmenportal” by the NRCST.

Within the framework of the project “Development of Volunteering in Turkmenistan”, all volunteers had previously completed a training for trainers on the topic “Road Safety Rules for Schoolchildren”. Then, they began to conduct road safety classes for primary school children in their schools.

Road safety lessons from NRCST volunteers were held in the following schools in Ashgabat: No. 86, 16, 55, 66, 38, Joint Turkmen-Russian Secondary Comprehensive School named after A.S. Pushkin, Turkmen-Turkish School, No. 140, 33, 131, 135, 41, 44, 133, 51.

The training also covered children of primary grades of secondary school No. 27 in the city of Anau.

The volunteers approached the training of children very responsibly, they made visual aids themselves, used interactive games, riddles, exercises to consolidate the material. A total of 24 volunteers were involved.

Let us remind that from September 1 to 30, a large-scale month-long campaign was held in Turkmenistan under the slogan “Road Safety - Peace of Our Life”.
