Ashgabat to Host Second Turkmen-Russian Business Forum in January

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk in Moscow on Monday. During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on organising the second Turkmen-Russian Business Forum scheduled to be held in Turkmenistan in January 2024.

Meredov and Overchuk discussed preparations for the 13th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, which is also scheduled to be held in Turkmenistan in January 2024, the press service of the Russian government reports.

During the meeting, the participants assessed the implementation of the agreements that resulted from the meeting between the co-chairs of the Intergovernmental Russian-Turkmen Commission on Economic Cooperation in Ashgabat on October 10, 2023.

On the same day, during the meeting of foreign ministers of the Caspian littoral states, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov discussed important bilateral aspects, including the schedule of forthcoming contacts and interaction on international platforms.

The foreign ministers discussed relevant matters of bilateral relations, including the schedule of upcoming contacts andtion on international platforms. The sides reaffirmed mutual aspiration to strengthen the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and Russia and develop multifaceted cooperation between Ashgabat and Moscow.
