The exhibition dedicated to the achievements of the Turkmen agriculture sector will kick off at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry building in Ashgabat on Sunday the day of the Harvest Festival.
The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev, overseeing the country’s agriculture sector, briefed the Turkmen President Esenmyrat Orazgeldiev on the preparations for the exhibition, the country’s official media reports.
A scientific-practical conference on the development of the agro-industrial complex will also take place in parallel with the exhibition, according to the Vice-Premier.
Orazgeldiyev said the ceremony of presenting state awards to distinguished farmers, presenting of valuable gifts on behalf of the Head of State to agricultural workers, and a festive concert will also be held on the day of the Harvest Festival.
The Harvest Festival in Turkmenistan marks the end of the cotton harvest. This year, the country's cotton farmers have harvested more than 1.25 million tons of cotton.
