Ashgabat summed up the results of the poster competition for the World Day to Combat Desertification

The results of the #HerLand #HerRights poster contest in honor of the World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought were announced in Ashgabat.

The creative competition was held jointly by UNDP in Turkmenistan, the country's Nature Conservation Society and public organizations "Tebigy kuvvat", "Eco-durmush" and "Ynanch vepa".

According to the publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age", the places in the competition were distributed as follows:

Separate prizes were awarded to Aidzhakhan Taghiyeva for calling for the protection of nature through drawings, Ayjeren Nurakova - for the best content emphasizing the importance of preserving ecosystems, Ainur Ovezmukhammedova, who produced a booklet on the importance of preserving ecosystems through the eyes of young people, Gurbangul Saparova - for calling for saving the forest through the art of drawing , as well as Ogulbibi Bayrammamedov.

The winners are invited to participate in the environmental campaign on March 21, 2024, timed to coincide with the International Day of Forests. Posters of the current winners will grace the exhibition as part of this campaign.

The poster competition was part of the #HerLand global campaign launched by the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) to educate the public about the contribution of women and girls to sustainable land management, the source said.
