The deficit of groceries remains one of the most burning problems for the residents of Turkmenistan, especially in the run-up to holidays.

Now Ashgabat residents are stocking up on eggs.

In the morning the eggs are sold in state-run stores at “Tekinka” market and “Tashauz” bazaar at 033 manats.A restriction of a big carton (30 eggs ) applies per person.

Eggs are sold without any limitations in privately-owned retail outlets but they cost almost twice as much 0,6 manats per piece.

It should be emphasized that Turkmenistan experienced a shortage of eggs in the last months of 2017 and 2016.
