Ashgabat Notary Office Launches Appointment Booking App

The Notary Office of Turkmenistan’s capital of Ashgabat has launched the Notarial Online Nobat mobile application to simplify and improve the provision of notarial services.

The application allows to book an appointment at the required department of the capital's notary institution without leaving home, indicating his/her first and last name and mobile phone number, the Ashgabat-based Orient news outlet reported on Sunday.

After submitting the necessary information on the application, an SMS with a queue number along with a QR code for passage through electronic turnstiles to the offices of notaries is sent to the user’s phone.

The service also allows to track queue online. In addition, there is an automatic SMS notification about the approach of the queue.

The application, which is currently only available in the Turkmen language, can be downloaded via Google Play. It contains the sections “Nobat al” (sign up for the queue), “Häzirki nobaty bil” (find out the current queue) and also “Meniň nobatlarym” (my queues).

According to the management of the Notary Office of Ashgabat City, such a mobile service was introduced primarily in order to simplify the registration procedure in the queue and save time for both employees of the legal service and those who apply to the institution’s services, and improve the quality of its services to citizens.
