Ashgabat Hosts Turkmen-American Business Forum

On December 16, 2024, the Turkmen-American Business Forum took place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nokerguly Atagulyyev led the Turkmen delegation, while Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-US Business Council, headed the U.S. side.

The forum featured representatives from several American companies, including Case New Holland, Boeing, and John Deere. Participants discussed bilateral cooperation and outlined plans for the near future. Turkmen officials met with American business leaders to explore joint projects.

The discussions emphasized the importance of the Turkmenistan-US Business Council in fostering mutually beneficial ties. Participants noted the effectiveness of regular meetings, forums, and exhibitions held by the Council with Turkmen partners.

The parties identified trade and investment in machinery for industry, agriculture, and water management as priority areas. They also explored expanding partnerships in sectors such as energy, transport, construction, innovative technology, healthcare, and ecology.

American companies expressed strong interest in deepening their partnerships with Turkmenistan, focusing on increasing trade turnover and enhancing collaboration in high technology.
