The central building of oil and gas complex of the country hosts the sixth session of Turkmen Saudi Intergovernmental Commission for trade and economic cooperation where regular objectives for intensification of bilateral business partnership have been reviewed.
Leaders and representatives of number of the state authorities including leading profile ministries and departments of both countries have gathered to participate in the work of the Commission. Representative delegation chaired by Minister of Trade and Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Majid Bin Abdullah Al Kasabi came to Ashgabat on this occasion.
Having stated with delight fruitful character and growing dynamics of bilateral relations, Co-Chairpersons highlighted the role of Intergovernmental Commission in development of efficient cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Having expressed sincere gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Government of Turkmenistan for cordial welcome, the Head of the delegation of friendly country noted that the outcomes of regular session would support further expansion of interstate cooperation, which is built on the principles of mutual respect and equal rights.
Having appreciated the results of work for practical realization of achieved agreements, the members of the Commission discussed the subjects of activation of cooperation in some spheres of activity.
During the exchange of the opinions, the sides voiced specific proposals on expansion of the partnership in textile and food industry, banking sphere, fuel and energy sector, in particular for the increment of investments to TAPI project and other.
Speaking of the importance of intensification of cooperation in these directions, the participants stated the presence of huge potential for the achievement of set objectives.
Having noted available opportunities for further development of fruitful trade and economic cooperation, the participants of the session spoke for the necessity of coordination of the efforts on the growth of volumes of export and import production.
In this context, the importance of organization of the meetings between business circles of two countries, which would support the implementation of new investment projects, has been highlighted.Practical measures aimed at the consolidation of Turkmen Saudi humanitarian relations, especially in cultural, scientific and educational spheres and tourism have been outlined.
Relevant protocol has been signed by the outcomes of the session.
The participants of the Intergovernmental Turkmen Saudi Commission for trade and economic cooperation expressed the confidence that decision taken at the session would give new impulse to intensification of full-scale partnership in all directions for the interests of two friendly countries and nations.
