The concert under the poetic title "Under Paris Heaven" was conducted in the Musical Drama Theater named Makhtumkuli organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Embassy of France in our country with the support of the Institute of France.
On the stage are two charismatic French musicians - accordionist Alexis Kyun and clarinetist Samuel Maken.From the very first chords of the famous work "Gnosienna No. 4" the Ashgabat public transferred in space, finding themselves on the narrow streets of the suburbs of Paris, in the old neighborhoods, on the squares, making a romantic trip under the exciting music of the duet "Mench".
Alexis is a historian and economist by education, but fate decreed that he became a musician. When they decided to join the duet with the clarinetist Samuel Maken, their fans were not only French music lovers, but connoisseurs of chanson in Europe and the USA.
In comparison to the duo's colleague, Samuel Macken was originally aimed at a musical career. He graduated from the Conservatory of Reims in the class of clarinet, and then - the Jazz School of Paris in classes: harmony, improvisation, arrangement and composition. In his repertoire are jazz and classics, afrobit, reggae, electro and hip-hop works.
Alexis Kuhn has good vocal data - a low, timbral expressive voice.The magnificent performance of the song "Padam, Padam, Padam" by Norbert Glanzberg was met with a flurry of enthusiastic applause.
The immortal hit of Edith Piaf in his original sound made an indescribable impression.Someone from the audience sang along to the artists, someone kicked at the beat of the music.
The song of Vasily Solovyov-Sedoy "Podmoskovnye Vechera" originally sound sung by the Turkmen-French trio, the well-known Turkmen singer Maysa Niyazova, who decorated the concert program with jazz improvisations. The song was sung in two languages and in two musical styles.
Maisa Niyazova took part in the cycle "Black Eyes", which was presented as a bright mini-performance. The audience emotionally met the gypsy motives, incendiary performed from the stage.
Both Ashgabat residents and guests from France will remember for a long time the atmosphere of cordiality, the mental dialogue of artists with listeners.

- Alexis, I congratulate you with great success! I want to note that your concert program consists of famous hits - performances with such a program are simply doomed to success. Were there any failures?
- No.There was more or less success, but it did not depend on us, but on the public.I try to build performances in close contact with listeners, so that an emotional dialogue and atmosphere of co-creation are established.
In most cases, this can be achieved, as, for example, in Ashgabat.The intensity of the spectator's interest, immersion in the melodic language is our goal, we ourselves derive tremendous pleasure from this, and the audience is delighted.
-Taking this opportunity I would like to express my deep gratitude to the wonderful Turkmen vocalist Maisa Niyazova, who admires us with her organic. For one rehearsal, she managed to feel our musical language and enrich it with juicy shades of jazz vocals. It is exciting! We have learned from personal experience how talented the Turkmen performers are.
Of course, vivid impressions - from getting to know Ashgabat.It impresses with monumental elegance.White marble architectural ensembles surrounded by park areas leave a sense of purity and harmony.
Unusual is the Turkmen heat.This is not surprising, taking in regards that we are visiting the easternmost country in the full sense.We were on tour a lot in Europe and America, we were in Turkey.
They say that the country where you feel at home is good.Believe me, we liked everything so much, especially, the cordiality and openness of the Ashgabat residents, that I do not want to leave!
