The Table Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan has joined the celebration of the World Day of this exciting sport, which is celebrated annually on April 6.
This is a rather young holiday, initiated by the International Table Tennis Federation in 2015 in order to popularize the game in different countries and promote a healthy lifestyle.
The table tennis has been the part of the Olympic program since 1988 and Turkmenistan is actively working to attract young people to sports sections.
According to the chairman of the Table Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan Agamuyrat Allanazarov, at present time boys and girls aged 5 to 8, who has desire to go in for this sport are recruited.
The Federation trainers pay great attention to initial training and technique setting. The most experienced coaches from the current members of the national team of Turkmenistan are involved in training with young athletes.
The table tennis classes are held in a modern children’s school, located at the address: Ashgabat city, Kopetdag stadium (12 sector).
