The Moscow circus "Carnelli" ends the tour in the Turkmen capital. The air gymnasts, acrobats, illusionists, trainers are among the artists of the troupe, whose performances were held with great success. Together with the masters of the arena were their trained wards: horses, dogs, goats and monkeys, which amused and amazed the audience.
Despite the busy schedule of the Moscow troupe, I managed to talk with some of the participants of the performance.
The trainer and circus rider Elena Pavlovich:
- Our tandem with trainer Yulia Yakubovich arose after a meeting at one of the horse shows in Moscow.Soon we bought a dacha in the suburbs and built a house for dogs and an 8-meter arena.
My horses were kept in the stable, however, one of them - mini-hors, often taken for a pony, lives with us at the dacha. This low-breed breed of horses was brought out as guides for blind people.
Every morning our Fantik leaves for the next courtyard and in the evening comes back. The neighbor calls Fantik "an excellent lawn mower."
Julius worked with dogs, I - with horses.I wanted to make a joint number, and for a long time we selected a new kind of animals for training.
I repeatedly offered goats, but Julius did not agree.Once I met on the Internet information about the Anglo-Nubian goats.Currently, Russian farmers purchased this breed, thanks to the fatty milk from which the fine cheese is made.
Therefore, it was not difficult for us to buy two animals.Goats were surprisingly smug and with high intelligence, at the rehearsals everyone remembers the first time.
Thus, to our canine house joined on one side is a pen for Fantik, and on the other - for goats. The dog Oscar lives with us in the house.
His favorite occupation is to sit on the couch and watch TV, and if barking dogs are shown, our Oscar gets into an argument with them.In the evenings, we all go out together for a walk.
When we were going on a tour to Ashgabat, I was told that the local riders perfectly know the art of dzhigitovki, and my numbers are unlikely to surprise the Ashgabat audience.
But my direction is training.White horses with whom I appear, Russian Terskoe breed, bred once for the hussars. They perform the most complicated elements of higher riding.
I'm glad that the audience with interest and warmly met our numbers.
Honored Artist of Russia air gymnast and trainer Ruslan Gugkaev:
- I started my circus career as a rider, and even worked for a while with Pygy Bayramdurdiyev.I decided to change my line of work and prepared a script for my air number for the 1980 Olympics.
In Russian State circus, they said that they know me as a wonderful rider, and readiness to work in air numbers must be proved.I was given probationary period of 6 months.
The number was not accepted to the Olympics, but then was awarded three gold and two silver medals in circus festivals. In 1994, my partner was a student of circus college Galina, soon we got married.
In parallel to our joint number, the spouse prepared a solo on the canvases - a spectacular performance in which she literally soars above the arena.
Together we tackled the training of monkeys.I was attracted to these funny animals from childhood, and when the familiar trainer retired, I gladly bought three three-year-old female rhesus monkeys from her, whose representative was in space.
I had an experience of communication with horses, besides my colleague gave me diaries with notes of rehearsals. In the team of monkeys, my wife and I are positioned as leaders; this is how we achieve unquestioning obedience.
Our son Maxim does not show interest in circus art. But we treat his decision with respect. Despite the constant change of schools due to frequent moves, he is studying perfectly, and we are proud of him.
Acrobat Tatyana Butova:
- I came to the circus from professional sports, where there are strict age limits. At first I was lucky to get into the staff of Rostislav Zapashny, where for 15 years in the trio performed a throwing act - a flight from one trapezium to another.
One of the partners - Tadeusz Cheshchevik became my husband.Soon Andrey Kovgar invited me to work with my husband. It was a well-known number recorded in the Guinness Book of Records, and received many gold awards at festivals of circus art.
Of course, we could not refuse such an offer.
Usually during performances, I do a double somersault in the air, but sometimes I do a triple. It is risky and exciting, but I am not new to the circus and I know that the main thing is mutual understanding in the team, and the success of my trick depends on the consistency of our actions.
We really liked the Ashgabat public, which reacts emotionally to the jolly and extreme moments of the performance, openly expressing enthusiasm and excitement. This reaction of the audience is very helpful in our work.
All my interlocutors expressed admiration for the hospitable and beautiful Turkmen capital, where traditions harmoniously coexist with innovations and, of course, positive, cordial, open Ashgabat citizens, who warmly welcomed artists of the Moscow circus troupe.
