Visitors to the exhibition center of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan were able to get acquainted with the works of the young artist Allaberdy Ovezdurdyev representing the Mary school of painting.
In the center of the exhibition is the painting “Winter”, mounted on an easel, as if the artist is in the process of working on it. On the canvas there are five yurts standing nearby, surrounded by a layer of wet snow. Somewhere on the earth one can see brown thistles saturating the canvas with color contrasts.
Allaberdy comes from village of the Mary region, so most of his paintings are dedicated to his countrymen, their way of life, and the picturesque landscapes of their small homeland.
Immediately after graduating from school, Allaberdy returned to Mary and began teaching at the Mary art school. And if at the school his mentor was Ovezmukhammed Akmuhammedov, who introduced the student to the world of painting, now his place has been occupied by his fellow schoolmates - Kurban Kurbanov, Aina Nuryyev, Annageldy Meredgeldiyev.
Teaching children the secrets of art, Allaberdy continued to improve his creative style.
In yellow, joyous colors, a shepherd is painted on a donkey with a flock of sheep in Uncle Ata. It would seem laconic plot. Allaberdy used an interesting perspective, looking at the hero through the bizarre ligature of reed stalks.
The artist showed mastery in the art of color transitions in the film “Ceramics”.In the early morning, with the first rays of the sun, yashuli, carefully, so as not to break the vases and jugs, driving the cart, went to the market.
The sun gilded the tops of the houses and looked into every stone on the road like a mirror, leaving a golden reflection in it.In contrast to the shadow highlights, which are painted in bright blue color by the artist’s fantasy, a bizarre range of shades appears that surround the main character.
Color nuances and highlights Allaberdy quite often uses in his paintings. They even became his pictorial brand. In the picture “Summer”, the artist depicted a group of girls in bright national dresses walking across the square on a hot summer day.
Escaping from the heat, the girls opened umbrellas over their heads. The artist depicted them from behind, so the main characters were umbrellas. The painter showered both the square and the girls with yellow-blue-brown highlights, conveying the atmosphere of a hot Turkmen summer.
And if the glare plays a decorative role in the paintings "Ceramics", "Summer" and a number of other paintings, then in the work "The Nest" the artist gave them the main role.
Those who have seen bird nests that are stained with spots will understand how not far from reality the artist has gone, passing the artistic chaos of bird settlements with bright accents.
The students of Allaberda Ovezdurdyev were very lucky with the teacher, who has his own vision of the world, an individual style of writing and a talent to create beauty on canvas...
