Art universities of Turkmenistan and Italy signed a cooperation agreement

A cooperation agreement for the next five years was signed today by the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan and the Academy of Fine Arts of the Italian city of Frosinone (Italy).

The signing ceremony was held at the Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan.

According to the document, the parties will develop mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields of fine arts, architecture, design and decorative arts.

Activities under the Agreement imply exchange processes between teaching staff and university students; cooperation in the introduction of modern methods of teaching foreign fine arts, as well as conducting joint creative research, mutual participation in events such as exhibitions, master classes, conferences.

The agreement was signed by the rector of the Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan Ahatmurat Nuvvayev and the president of the Academy of Fine Arts of the city of Frosinone Giorgio Bartolomucci in the presence of the Italian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Luigi Ferrari, as well as the teaching staff of the Academy.

At the end of the agreement signing ceremony, a conference was held with the participation of the parties.

Mr. Giorgio Bartolomucci made a presentation about the Academy of Fine Arts of Frosinone, spoke about the history, specializations of the university, and its research activities.

Next, Alberto Angelo Dambruoso, professor of art history at the Academy of Fine Arts of Frosinone, presented to the audience a report on the work of Boccioni, an Italian artist, sculptor and futurist theorist.

A tour of the Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan was organized for the Italian guests. Rector Ahatmurat Nuvvayev and Vice-Rector for Research Nuryagdy Yagshimuradov personally introduced the guests to the Golden Fund of the Academy, where the works of the best students and diploma projects are presented.

The Italian guests were delighted with what they saw. As the head of the department of art history at the Academy, A. Kadyrova, who was present, told us, the guests noted the masterful technical performance and mastery of the material inherent in the students and teachers of the Academy.

Since Italians are passionate supporters of the preservation and popularization of their folk arts and crafts, the guests got acquainted with the best examples of the national art of carpet weaving and ceramics with great interest.
