Argentina footballer Mac Allister joins Liverpool

Liverpool have confirmed on their social media page that Argentina midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has signed a long-term contract with the Merseyside club.

The player will play for Liverpool under the number 10. Previously, Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho, Michael Owen, John Barnes and other players performed under it.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Alexis' transfer cost Liverpool £35m and the player's contract runs until June 2028.

McAllister has scored 12 goals and provided 3 assists in 40 appearances for Brighton this season. In December, he became the world champion as part of the Argentina national team.

We remind that Liverpool finished this league season in 5th place, which is why they will not play in the Champions League next season.
