Another building which was previously owned by the Turkish company “Polymex” has been converted into an in-patient medical facility. Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report that this is a 32 apartment residential block located in the north-east of Ashgabat.
On 3 and 5 July, 2020 nurse aides and cleaners almost from all medical institutions of the capital were mobilized to сlean up the building. According to a female nurse aide one-room apartments were previously used to accommodate construction workers. They have been converted into two-bed wards with a separate toilet and a shower.
On 6 July, 2020 the officials signed the building acceptance documents.
Witnesses also spot healthcare practitioners wearing protective outwear in small office buildings located nearby.
The building owned by “Polymex” on Gogol street had been promptly converted into an in-patient facility. Since 1 June patients with high temperatures transported by ambulances have been admitted there.
According to the news outlet Turkmen News, a medical centre accommodating COVID patients is also located on the territory of the former “Polymex” camp in Balkan velayat.
