On August 2, Ashgabat will host a forum dedicated to current issues of employment of IT specialists on the Internet. The event is organized by the “Safe Migration in Central Asia” program, funded by USAID, in cooperation with the UNODC and a number of private companies.
The forum will be held in the “Ish Nokady” conference hall of the “Arkach” Business Center from 10:00 to 15:00. Leading industry experts will discuss aspects of online recruitment security, legal issues of freelancing, and present innovative developments of Turkmen IT companies.
Participation in the event is free. After the main part of the forum, participants will be able to communicate with potential employers and get acquainted with new products in the field of information technology.
The organizers note that the forum is timed to coincide with the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, which is celebrated annually on 30 July. This highlights the importance of ensuring safety when applying for a job, especially in the online environment.
