An expanded edition of the book about Turkmen soldiers of the Great Patriotic War was published in Turkmenistan

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, an expanded second edition of the IV volume of the book Hatyra (“Memory”) was published in Turkmenistan.

This historical and documentary work is dedicated to the Turkmen soldiers who fell in battles against fascism in 1941-1945, as well as those who went missing, reports the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper today.

The publication opens with a congratulatory Address from the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of this significant date. In his address, the head of state noted that Turkmen soldiers, shoulder to shoulder with representatives of fraternal peoples, showed unparalleled valor, perseverance and true heroism on the battlefields.

The new edition of the fourth volume of the book Hatyra tells about the exploits of Turkmen warriors from Lebap velayat. According to available data, among those killed in battles for the Motherland and missing in action during the Great Patriotic War, there are 21086 people from this region.

The book contains information about the Lebap heroes who gave their lives for the sake of a peaceful and happy future for their descendants. Here you can find documentary materials, letters, photographs of soldiers, publications, rear photo chronicles, poems written during the war years, as well as images of monuments erected in honor of the defenders of the Fatherland.

The expanded edition of volume IV of the book Hatyra is designed for a wide readership. It serves to perpetuate the memory of the brave warriors of Turkmenistan and educate young people using the heroic example of the older generation.
