An event on children's rights was held at the “Yashlyk” Children's Health Centre

On July 29, UNICEF and the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan held an informational and educational event at the “Yashlyk” children's health camp in Gokdere, where children from different parts of the country are vacationing.

The event aimed to raise awareness about children's rights and was conducted through fun games and interactive sessions.

The day's programme included educational games, quizzes and interactive presentations aimed at teaching children their rights in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).

The children watched an inspiring video about children's rights and climate change, took part in a quiz and took part in a quest where they worked in teams to find key articles of the CRC hidden around the camp, according to a UNICEF press release.

The sessions were led by the Sustainable Development Goals Young Ambassadors, who brought energy and enthusiasm to the programme. Within the framework of the event, children participated in a consultation session where they could share their ideas for the new UNICEF Country Programme 2026-2030.
