Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report that one of the buildings owned by a Turkish company “Polymex” in Ashgabat has been promptly converted in an in-patient medical facility.
The facility is located in the northern part of Gogol street. State-of-the-art equipment has been installed in the clinic and medical doctors and paramedics from other medical institutions of the capital have been transferred there. Since 1 June patients with high temperatures transported by ambulances have been admitted to the facility.
The security guards are on duty at the entrance to the in-patient facility. Visits to patients are prohibited. Family members can hand in groceries in disposable tableware and other essentials.
According to the notes family members get from the patients, it can be concluded that the medical staff work hard, the conditions are good and the patients get high quality medical treatment.
We have failed to find out whether the new facility was opened as part of a window-dressing effort ahead of the visit of the WHO mission or other hospitals are overcrowded.
The clean-up campaign is underway in the capital: the streets are being mopped, the new road marking has been painted, lawns are being mown and fences are being whitewashed.
“Chronicles of Turkmenistan” previously reported that in the past few weeks an increasing number of measures have been introduced in Turkmenistan to prevent the spread of viral infections.
For instance, antiviral medications are being distributed among Ashgabat residents and streets in Turkmenabat are being disinfected. The WHO mission is scheduled to pay a visit to Turkmenistan this month.
