An Afghan delegation led by Foreign Minister Muttaki arrived in Ashgabat

Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Han Muttaqi arrived in Turkmenistan on Sunday on an official visit. The purpose of the trip is bilateral negotiations on current issues of cooperation between the two countries. The online publication Vestiabad.ru writes about this, citing the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The report notes that the visit of the Afghan delegation to Ashgabat was held at the invitation of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov.

The Afghan delegation also included representatives of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, the Afghanistan Railway Authority and the energy company Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat.

The parties are expected to discuss ways to expand bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres. Particular attention will be paid to the implementation of joint infrastructure and energy projects.
