The summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) started on Wednesday in Bishkek.The leaders of five member states of the organization - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the observer countries of the organization - Hungary and Turkmenistan - are taking part in the work of the next, 11th meeting of the Council of Heads of the OTG, Interfax reports.
The Turkmen side is represented by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Nury Golliyev.
According to the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, the main document to be adopted following the summit will be the Bishkek Declaration, which will formulate the organization's status. In addition, the parties will discuss issues of cooperation in the field of “green economy”.
Following the summit, the chairmanship of the UTC for 2025 will pass to Kyrgyzstan.
