All American Spaces in Turkmenistan Are Now Open to Visitors by Appointment

Currently the American Center in Ashgabat and American Corners in Dashoguz, Mary and Turkmenabat are open by appointment only. Visitors are required to sanitize their hands upon entrance, always wear mask, and follow social distancing during their stay. Visitors should abstain from visiting the American Spaces if they feel sick.

How to visit the American Center in Ashgabat

Visitors can pick any of the time slots starting at 9:30, 11:30, 14:30, 16:30 and 18:30 Monday-Friday and slots starting 10:00, 13:30 and 15:30 on Saturdays.

At the moment, the length of stay and number of visitors per time slot are limited.Please schedule your visit here: https://bit.ly/ac-visit.During the appointment, visitors can check out and check in books, DVDs and magazines, use the English self-study collection, and explore the Internet, iPads, eLibrary and the Makerspace.

American Center programs: You can participate in American Center presentations and sessions virtually as well as in-person. Certain programs will admit limited number of participants in-person. Please reserve your seat in the presentation here: https://bit.ly/ac-attend. The American Center is closed on the national holidays of Turkmenistan and the United States.

How to visit the American Corners in Mary, Dashoguz and Turkmenabat

Visitors are required to make appointments to check out and check in books, DVDs and magazines. Please call or email individual American Corners to schedule an appointment. American Corner libraries are open 3 days a week for 3 hours. Libraries will be open during these times:

American Corners will also conduct a limited number of in-person programs for the public. Walk-in participants are allowed only if space is available.
