Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on Victory Day

President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko sent a congratulatory message to the head of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, TDH reports.

“May 9 is a unifying date for the peoples of our countries, who, fighting in a united ranks against Nazism, defended the right to life and freedom for future generations. We won because we were together.

Time has no power over the courage and fortitude of the heroes of the Fatherland. We owe them an enormous debt and must keep the undying flame of the memory of their feat and prevent the recurrence of such bloody events.

I am convinced that the fraternal friendship of the peoples of Belarus and Turkmenistan, which went through the difficult trials of those terrible years, will serve as a reliable foundation for expanding long-term and fruitful cooperation.

With all my heart I wish you, dear Serdar Gurbangulyevich, good health, prosperity and success in your government activities, and peaceful skies and prosperity to the residents of Turkmenistan,” Alexander Lukashenko addresses the message.
