Silver medallist of Turkmenistan Championship and winner of Turkmenistan Cup Ahal football club played against the winner of Kyrgyzstan Cup Dordoy football club from Bishkek in qualification match of 2018 AFC Cup.
Our players started the game with assertively and right after the whistle of the referee, Suleiman Muhadov scored the first goal. It was good beginning and seemed to be a good stimulus to develop the advantage, however Kyrgyz team equalized the score to 1:1 on 19th minute.
In the second half, Ahal players was attacking nonstop. On 75th minute, Murat Annayev brings the team forward having scored the goal and after 11 minutes, he put the end to the match having scored the third goal.
Away victory of the players of Head Coach Rovshan Meredov gives hope for success in the second leg, which is to be held on January 30 in Balkanabat.The loss with minimum score in home match will be enough for our team to enter the next round of the competition.
The winner of the contest between Ahal and Dordoy will have to face another qualification round on the way to the main contest of Asian Confederation Cup.
Ashgabat club Altyn Asyr has already provided itself with the participation in group tournament.
