Ashgabat hosted the signing ceremony of Grant Agreement between National Red Crescent Society and the Embassy of Japan to Turkmenistan on the project of construction of hothouses for agricultural education of children with disabilities at boarding school of Turkmenbashy city.
The project is aimed at the development of professional skills of the children that they would be able to use in adult life.
The agreement has been signed by Maral Achilova, the Chairperson of Turkmenistan National Red Crescent Society from Turkmen side and by the Ambassador Takahiko Katsumata from Japanese side. The participants of the ceremony highlighted the importance of humanitarian component in cooperation of two friendly countries as well as social significance of this project.
- This is the second project that we have under financial support of the Government of Japan, - Chairperson of Turkmenistan National Red Crescent Society Maral Achilova says.The first one was successfully accomplished in the boarding school for children with disabilities in Turkmenabat, owing to which the children learn basic skills of hothouse farming.
This practice will help this category of children to acquire necessary knowledge for personal realization, will support their personal growth and social activity.
Activity of Turkmenistan National Red Crescent Society, which includes velayat and etrap committees uniting groups and individual members as well as the volunteers, is based on the principles of charity and goodness.
