After 11 years of blocking, the gamer returned to the forum to resume the interrupted dispute

A long-banned user on the Something Awful forum in 2013 has reappeared 11 years later to continue the discussion about board games. This is reported by daily.afisha.ru with reference to PC Gamer.

A forum member under the nickname Etherwind was blocked for making an aggressive comment about the creator of the game World of Darkness. The administration applied the strictest measure to him a ban for 100 000 hours, which is equivalent to about 11 years.

Despite the long absence, Etherwind did not forget about the unfinished conversation. On July 14, 2024, 100 018 hours after being blocked, he returned to the forum and immediately resumed the interrupted discussion, quoting a message from that very thread.

In a separate document, Etherwind explained that the forum played an important role in his life. He admitted that he had changed a lot over the years, matured and now regretted his past negative statements.

Current forum members, many of whom joined the community after Etherwind was banned, were amazed by his persistence. They wonder how he managed to maintain interest in a long-standing dispute, and jokingly suggest that the moderators ban him again for 11 years to test his tenacity.
