The Asian Development Bank has unveiled the Turkmenistan: Country Partnership Strategy (20242028) (“Turkmenistan: Country Partnership Strategy (20242028)”). As nCa reports, the Strategy sets out the bank’s commitments to support the transformation of Turkmenistan’s economy into a stable, climate-resilient and competitive one.

The strategy is based on 3 main principles:

1. supporting the green transformation towards a sustainable economy independent of climate change; 2. increasing the competitiveness of the economy through diversification, development of the private sector and human potential; 3. promoting structural reforms and institutional development.

ADB will implement the strategy through projects, technical assistance, and other initiatives using its unified approach that will support climate action and use a new operating model to create an enabling environment for the private sector and public-private partnerships.

The Strategy will give priority to comprehensive knowledge to solve complex development problems, the source notes.
