Since the beginning of 2024, about 2,000 tourists from Turkmenistan have visited Malaysia, which became possible due to the opening of direct flights between the countries. This fact was announced at the training seminar Discover Malaysia Networking Seminar held in Ashgabat, the newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan reports.
The event, organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Embassy of Malaysia, brought together representatives of about 40 travel companies of Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of Türkmenhowaýollary and FlyDubai. The participants discussed cooperation opportunities and exchanged experiences in the field of tourism.
Tourism Manager of the Embassy of Malaysia Ravshan Ospanalieva gave a presentation on the tourist regions of Malaysia, emphasizing the attractiveness of sea beaches and medical tourism. During the seminar, it was proposed to organize an info tour for Turkmen travel companies to Malaysia for a more detailed acquaintance with the country's tourism market.
