From November 23 to 26, a Turkmen delegation headed by the Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Myahrijemal Mammedova is in Paris on a working visit.
During the visit, the Turkmen delegation met with UNESCO Deputy Director General for Culture Ernesto Ramirez, director of the National Museum of Asian Arts of France Guimet, and the management of the Louvre.
A joint conference entitled “Ulug-Depe - a major center for the study of the protohistory of Central Asia” was held in the auditorium of the Louvre, at which the results of archaeological excavations of the joint French-Turkmen archaeological mission (MAFTOUR) were presented.
The purpose of the visit of the Turkmen delegation is to promote the values of Turkmen culture in the international community, organize exhibitions of unique historical, archaeological and ethnographic exhibits.
