A Universal Youth Meeting was held in Ashgabat

On August 12, Ashgabat hosted a forum dedicated to International Youth Day and organized by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports. Arzuw.news reports this.

The forum, entitled “Universal Youth Meeting,” was held under this year’s global slogan “Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development.”

The forum participants discussed areas for harnessing the great potential of youth, promoting gender equality, promoting a healthy lifestyle, digital literacy, creating a safe technological space and the participation of young people in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The forum included a presentation of the effects and capabilities of modern media platforms. An interactive quiz, an impromptu play performance and a vibrant sports flash mob were also held.

The universal meeting permitted young people to increase their knowledge of how to navigate the digital world, understand the importance of equal opportunities, and increase their desire to engage in physical education and sports.

Kemal Goshliyev, head of the UNFPA Office in Turkmenistan, noted the high importance of the personal participation of the head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the fruitful implementation of Turkmenistan’s youth policy, the source notes.
