A UNESCO Chair was opened at the State Medical University of Turkmenistan

A solemn ceremony was held at the State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryev on the occasion of the creation of a new UNESCO Club “Medicinal plants - our health, our heritage”.

Within the framework of the celebration, the first working meeting of the Club was held, at which the main tasks facing it were discussed. Then a meeting was held, organized in the assembly hall of the university with the participation of honorary guests of the Club.

Among the honored guests of the event were the heads of UNESCO Clubs, which are already successfully functioning at the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages and the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev.

Their work is built directly in the context of the names of the clubs themselves - “Languages of the World” and “Ahal-Teke Horses Ambassadors of Peace”, - respectively.

In her speech, the Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, Chinar Rustemova, noted:

At the medical university, in the context of the widespread introduction of the most innovative technologies into multifaceted educational and scientific activities, effective work is being carried out on a comprehensive scientific study of the composition of medicinal plants, their healing properties, and the preparation of new medicines based on them.

The cycle of ceremonial events ended with a vibrant concert program, as reported in the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper.

Let us remind that previously UNESCO clubs were created at the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen Agricultural Institute and the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev.
