A five-day international training course “Treatment of tuberculosis, TB, RR-TB and TB infection in accordance with WHO recommendations and national guidelines” was held in Ashgabat.
The training, as an important step in the fight against tuberculosis and improving patient care, was conducted by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The training was carried out by TB specialists from the Directorate of Infectious Disease Centers of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and the Department of Tuberculosis of the Turkmen State Medical University named after M. Garryev.
The course was conducted by WHO/Europe consultants: Professor Alena Skrahina and Dr. Elmira Gurbanova.
