A student from Turkmenistan won the International Winter Fishing Festival

The XIII International Ice Fishing Festival “Chkalov fishing-2022” was held in the waters of the Gorky Reservoir.

Students from Egypt, Colombia, China, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Algeria and other countries took part in the competition, reports the Komsomolskaya Pravda.

Student at N.I. Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod-National Research University (UNN) Sheihnazar Davletov won the competition "Cool FISHka". He managed to catch three ruffs and one perch.

When asked about his feelings, the Turkmen citizen modestly replied: “Everything is fine! This is destiny. Everyone, I think, had the same chances as me. Just today is my day. I was lucky”, says the message.

An excursion program was prepared for the festival participants to the “Russian wings” Tourism Center and the Memorial Museum named after test pilot V.P. Chkalov.

According to the representative of Lobachevsky University Konstantin Kemaev, the guys not only plunged into the unique world of winter fishing, but also tried traditional fishermen's dishes - fish soup and porridge.

Also, the head of the international cooperation development department noted, that the participation of foreign students in the “Chkalov fishing-2022” festival gives it a special flavor and drive.
