In Paris, in the 13th arrondissement, a new street has appeared, named after David Bowie. The grand opening was held on January 8, the singer’s 77th birthday, reports Mail.ru.
The Rue David Bowie is located between two office buildings. The street extends onto Avenue Pierre-Mendes-France until the future bridge that will connect the avenue with the Boulevard de L'Hopital.
Interestingly, the 1965 concert in Paris was David Bowie's first performance outside his native UK.
Legendary British musician David Bowie died of liver cancer on January 10, 2016 at the age of 69. His posthumous album Waiting In The Sky will be released on April 20.
