A polling station will be organized in Kazan for the upcoming Presidential elections of Turkmenistan

The Consulate General of the country in Kazan will organize a polling station for its citizens for the upcoming Presidential elections of Turkmenistan to be held on March 12.

Consul General Atadurdy Bayramov covered this issue in detail at a meeting with the Director of the Yelabuga Institute of Kazan Federal University (EI KFU).

In particular, it was noted that a polling station would be organized on the territory of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Kazan) for the Turkmen citizens living in the regions of Russia that are a part of the Consular District.

It includes the Republics of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Mari El, Mordovia, Udmurtia and Chuvashia, Perm Krai, Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Orenburg, Penza, Samara, Saratov and Ulyanovsk Regions.

To recap, the Election Campaign started in the country on February 14. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Serdar Berdimuhamedov has already been registered as a candidate for the post of President of Turkmenistan. The CEC also registered a candidate from the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan - Deputy Head of Mary Region Aghajan Bekmyradov.

The nomination of candidates for the post of President of Turkmenistan continues.
