President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov appointed Myrat Akmyradovich Mammedov as Minister of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, releasing him from the post of Deputy Minister for the Organization of Treatment and Preventive Care. The corresponding Decree was signed at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported today.
In this post, Mammedov replaced Atageldi Kakadurdyevich Germanov, who was relieved of his position as minister “in connection with a transfer to another job.”
Myrat Mammedov was born in 1963 in the city of Ashgabat. In 1987 he graduated from the State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryev. Specialty: general medicine, doctor.
He began his career in 1987 as an intern at the surgery department of the Ashgabat City Hospital.
In 1988, he worked as a teacher at the Ashgabat Medical Secondary Vocational School named after I. Gandhi.
From 1988 to 1989 senior laboratory doctor at the Turkmen State Medical Institute.
In the period 1989-1994, he worked as a surgeon in the surgery department of the Ashgabat City Hospital, and completed postgraduate studies at the Department of Hospital Surgery of the State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryev.
In 19941995 chief surgeon of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry.
In the period 19952001, he worked in various positions at the Ashgabat City Hospital.
In 20012006 chief physician of the Ashgabat City Medical and Health Hospital, Ashgabat City Hospital.
From 2006 to 2011 director of a hospital with a scientific and clinical center for cardiology.
In 2011 chief physician of the Ashgabat City Hospital of Traumatology and Emergency Surgery.
Since 2011, he has held various positions within the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry.
Since 2022 - Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Industry.
