A new Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan was appointed

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov appointed Police Lieutenant Colonel Khydyrov Mukhammet Allamyradovich as the Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, relieving him of the post of the Head of the Police Department of the Lebap Region.

Today, the relevant Decree in coordination with the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan was signed during an expanded meeting of the State Security Council, the Information Program "Watan" of the Turkmen Television reported.

As the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs M.Khydyrov replaced Ovezdurdy Khojaniyazov, who was strongly reprimanded for the shortcomings in his work and warnings were repeatedly given during his activity in this position.

The Head of Turkmenistan instructed the new Minister of Internal Affairs to work at a high level to protect the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens, maintain law and order, protect public order and security. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of ensuring road safety and fire safety.

Having identified the introduction of modern forms and methods of work in the system of the internal affairs bodies among the priorities, the Head of State addressed a number of specific instructions to the Minister.
