A new edition of the Civil Code is being prepared in Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan is actively working on preparing a draft of a new version of the Civil Code.It is also planned to make a number of changes and additions to the current legislative acts of the country.

This was reported by the Chairperson of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova at a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, information was presented on the current activities of the national parliament to modernize the country's legislation. Particular attention was paid to the development of international inter-parliamentary cooperation.

On October 14, the second meeting of the chairmen of the parliaments of the Central Asian states and the Republic of Korea was held in the Mejlis, which ended with the adoption of a Joint Declaration. It is noteworthy that the initiative to create this inter-parliamentary forum belongs to the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The event also included the second Turkmen-Korean consultative meeting, where the prospects for using parliamentary diplomacy to develop bilateral cooperation were discussed. Bilateral meetings were held with the chairmen of the parliaments of Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye.
