A native of Ashgabat headed the “Volzhsky” park in the Russian Federation

In the city of Volzhsky, Volgograd region of the Russian Federation, a native of Ashgabat, Yevgeny Yuryevich Shmelkov, has become the new head of the central park.

His appointment to the post of head of the “Volzhsky” park was announced at the city planning meeting, reports “Volzhskaya Pravda”.

The task of the new director will be the further development of the park and the creation of a comfortable space for vacationers.

According to Shmelkov, he was born and raised in Ashgabat, graduated from the Turkmen Agricultural Institute and worked as a UN consultant on water conservation and drip irrigation. 5 years ago moved to Volgograd.

“The “Volzhsky” park won me over with its scale, fountains and lindens. I intend to implement a lot of new ideas in it,” shared the newly appointed director.

Let us note that Volzhsky is one of the largest industrial cities in the Lower Volga region, the second largest in the Volgograd region and the 61st in the list of cities in Russia.
