A meeting with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshanbek Alimov was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan

On December 20, during a meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmed Gurbanov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Ravshanbek Alimov, the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, as well as issues of implementing previously reached agreements, were discussed.

This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The parties emphasized that in recent years, Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation has acquired a progressive character and is intensifying in a wide range of areas. As a result of regular meetings and mutual visits at the highest level, in a relatively short period of time, the two countries managed to reach a qualitatively new level of partnership.

The diplomats expressed confidence that Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation will continue to strengthen and successfully develop in the interests of the fraternal peoples of the two countries, the source notes.
