19 years old American tennis player Cori Gauff became the highest paid athlete in the world in 2023, writes snob.ru.

According to the sports magazine Sportico, Gauff's annual income was 22,7 million USD, of which 6,7 million USD came from prize money for winning the US Open. The world number three earned the remaining 16 million USD from advertising contracts with companies such as New Balance, Head, Bose, Barilla and UPS.

In second place in the ranking was 22 years old Polish tennis player Iga Szwiatek. Her annual income was 21,9 million USD, of which 9,9 million USD was prize money. Szwiatek has contracts with Rolex, Visa, Infosys, Tecnifibre and Porsche.
