A kilometer-long museum above a lake has opened in China

In the Chinese city of Rizhao (Shandong Province), a unique art object has appeared - the Zaishui Art Museum. This is not just an exhibition space, but a new type of interactive platform created by the Japanese company Junya.ishigami+associates. Techcult.ru reports this.

The museum is a kilometer-long building stretching over a man-made lake. The architectural solution allows the structure to merge with the environment, creating the effect of unity with nature.

A reinforced concrete frame and panoramic glazing are the basis of the structure.Opening windows provide natural ventilation. In some places the building plunges under water, creating a mesmerizing effect of overflowing from the lake.

The reflection of the sky, the play of light and shadow, and in winter the ice crust under which water flows - all this creates a unique atmosphere.
