On July 19, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Deputy Prime Minister Baymyrat Annamammedov reported on the implementation of the “Central Electronic System” project for institutions providing public services in Ashgabat. This is stated in the TDH message.
The project, developd by the city administration, is aimed at digitalizing the capital’s utility sector. As part of the initiative, several programs have already been launched to maintain electronic records of residential properties, buildings and citizens, as well as the services provided.
Digitalization of the public utilities sector is carried out in accordance with the “State Program for the Development of the Digital Economy of Turkmenistan for 20212025.” In addition to electronic accounting, conditions are being created for online payment of utility services through the hyakimlik’s digital services portal (e.ashgabat.gov.tm), the “SANLY ŞÄHER” mobile application, the unified government services portal (e.gov.tm) and other popular applications.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, after hearing the report, emphasized the importance of implementing the project and gave a number of instructions for its further development. According to the head of state, the introduction of digital technologies is designed to improve the quality of public services and create more favorable conditions for citizens.
