In Turkmenabat, in the building of the Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named hosted a conference "Turkmenistan - UNESCO", timed to coincide with the Day of the country's neutrality. This is reported by the Jeyhun.news edition.
The conference was attended by the executive secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, the hero of Turkmenistan Chinar Rustemova, who highlighted the activities to expand cooperation between Turkmenistan and this authoritative international organization.
In particular, Rustemova noted that this year a decision was made to create UNESCO Chairs in two universities of the country: at TSU named after Magtymguly and Seydi TSPI.
Also in May, the nomination application of the city of Ashgabat to be included in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network was officially accepted by the Secretariat of the organization.
Turkmenistan prepared and submitted a dossier for inclusion in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the art of Turkmen embroidery.
Note that Chinar Rustemova is a graduate of Seydi TSPI.
The conference ended with a performance by the ensemble of the Cultural Center "Altyn nesil".
